MSDS and Safety

Here are some things you might need to know concerning safety in the darkroom:

Here are concerns regarding sprints standard film developer, quick silver print developer, block stop bath, record speed fix and archive fix remover it can cause fires and/or excessive heat that can produce hazardous decomposition and can be extremely harmful to your body. I bet you're asking what would happen if you get chemicals on your skin or ingest the chemistry right? Exactly, well you'll need to wash the affected areas with plenty of water and soap if you can for several minutes. If any of the chemicals get in your eyes you need to rinse your eyes with water for 30min total and be sure to remove contacts/glasses if you're wearing them. If you ingest it you need to drink 3-4 glasses of water but do NOT induce vomiting. If that doesn't take care of it be sure to seek medical attention.
The MSDS sheets are located in binders on the counter of the room located next to the dark room. It's completely acceptable for you to post my name on the class blog.
