Samuel Borne was a British Photographer borne in 1863, died in 1870

Samuel and another photographer Charles Shepherd in 1866 shared a studio and stared Borne & Shepherd establishment, which became the main photographic studio in India, and is still alive to day in Calcutta India.

Borne mainly photographed landscape and architecture in India.He is said to be one of the finest photographers of the nineteenth century.

Nilgun Kara, also photographs landscape like Borne but has a different style that is really interesting in its composition, and here are some links to see more photographs of Kara.
