Edward steichen was a pretty awesome photographer and is known as one of the best in american culture. He did a wide variety of work including portraits (mostly of women), landscapes, still life settings, some nudes and street photography. Not only was he a great photographer but he was also a painter, museum and gallery curator. He was published several times in Alfred Stieglitz's magazine "Camera Work". He did some cool stuff with lighting and fabric, also some cool projects over his models. Over all a really cool guy who definitely contributed to the development of american photography.

Chase Jarvis is a one of the most successful photographers/artists in america right now and his work never ceases to amaze me. Here's a nike commercial he posted on his blog which took a total of 6 cameras on a rig too make, the audio is also incredible. Plug in headphones for the best experience. Enjoy!
