Bisson Frères

Bissons work is well known among french circles of artists and he's specifically known for his landscapes and architectural photographs. He would go hiking with crews of mountaineers and photographs their adventures. He got away from the typical techniques daguerreotypes and broke the trend of posing for an image to actually documenting a scene of action. He actually did a majority of his work with his brothers. This all happened during the mid 1800's.
He does a good job of differentiating the mountains and the sky and takes advantage of contrast.

Part B

The tilt-shift lens has always intrigued me and made me wish i could blow $2500 on one but it seriously creates an amazing affect that makes the world look like a miniature by making only a small portion of the picture and putting a vignetting around the edges of the picture. It also corrects the curve that a wide angle lens that skews the subject of the image and makes buildings, people etc straight up and down. Here's a video that a photographer made using a tilt-shift lens thats extremely cool!
