Yellowstone National Park:

-Yellowstone National Park is located in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho

-If you visit Yellowstone, you may have a permitted guide to assist you with the following activities:
*hiking/backpacking
*boating
*fishing
*pack trips
*horseback or Llama tours
*stagecoach rides
*old west cookouts

-There are also biking trails and camping sites

-Yellowstone is home to much wildlife, some of this includes grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk

-Old Faithful is one of the most popular sites visited in Yellowstone, along with the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone.

-I found some interesting random facts about Yellowstone which are:
*The 1988 fires affected 793,880 acres or 36% of the park. 5 fires burned that year, which were from adjacent public lands. The largest of the fires, the North Folk Fire, started from a discarded cigarette. This fire burned more than 410,000 acres.
*Before the establishment of the National Park Service, the U.S. Army protected Yellowstone between 1886 and 1918. Fort Yellowstone was built at Mammoth Hot Springs for that purpose.
*Each year, there are more people hurt by bison than by bears. Park regulations state that visitors must stay a minimum of 25 yards away from bison or elk, and at least 100 yards away from bears.
*During peak summer levels, 3,500 employees work for the Yellowstone National Park concessions and about 800 employees work for the National Park Service.
*In 1994, there were no wolves in Yellowstone National Park. The wolves were reintroduced in 1995 and 1996. These wolves thrived, and there are now over 300 of their descendents living in the greater Yellowstone area.
