WebWork #7 - Photographer Jerry Uelsmann

Jerry Uelsmann was born in Detroit on June 11,1924. He received his B.F.A. Degree in 1957 from the Rochester Institute of Technology and began teaching photography at the University of Florida in Gainesville in 1960. He became a graduate research professor of art at the university in 1974. He is now retired and still living in Gainesville, Florida with his wife Maggie Taylor (the artist).

The work of Jerry Uelsmann I find to be very artistic and inspiring. It's almost like you are entering a fantasy land or your in someones dreams. The images, the shadows and the depth all bring the photos to life. Wonderful work!
Please take the time to look at his work (below).

  1. Looks like your video died - Uelsmann is pretty amazing - it's hard to believe he did all of that work in the darkroom, isn't it?
