Florence Henri was born in New York in 1893. She was an important member of the "New Vision" movement. In 1929 she moved to Paris and opened a studio and worked for "Vouge", "Art et Decoration", and "The New York Herald". Henri specialzed in portrait photography. in 1963 She gave up photography and took up abstract painting. Henri died in 1982.
