Berenice was best known for her "Changing New York" photography. Most of her famous images came from this series of photos. She worked on this project for six years. Taking photos of businesses for her finacial support. The project was intended to inform people of their habbits and what they were doing to New York itself. It also documented the changing of landscape in New York.
She used the style of straight photography to produce all of her images. She was also know for unmanipulating her images in the darkroom process.
